since we are bored of the ChatGPT emails, and content, We don’t even get our content for proof-read there. This emails mirror as if someone was talking to you. Unfiltered, with some grammar mistakes. We are tired of top ‘‘advisors’’ that just ask GPT and copy paste the answer.

I will keep this quick and casual.

Many people think ‘ brand’’ = LinkedIn. In a sense, it does, but the big question is ‘‘Who validates this linkedIn guy or company ’’.

It is no strange that GhatGPT and Perplexity (perplexity is especially for those who target UK based potential) prefer 3rd party websites than what you say about yourself.

That said, your potential clients, or people who need to determine if they can trust you and not someone else, will do the following steps

  1. Google your name (the way it is written on your business card or email signature)

  2. Ask chatGPT (or whatever AI engine) about you: What do you know about ‘‘person name’’, is he a professional?

  3. Then ask about your company, Is ‘‘XYZ’’ company good or trusted?

  4. Then possibly access some of the sources GPT will give them

  5. Assess if the source mentioning you is trusted and high-end

Bottom line:

Get mentions and listings with high-end publications in your niche, or, where your potential clients enjoy or trust reading.

Attention

It is very important to craft this properly, otherwise, instead of increasing brand trust, you are actually destroying it. What did warren said; something like, it takes 5 years to build and 5 minutes to ruin - Reputation and trust.

Why this matters

It is so naive to believe that potential clients will trust what you tell them, without contacting their own checks first. You can either show them proof, or lead them to it. OR even use Google and ChatGPT to lead them for you. That’s where the magic happens.

Now, there is a spin here

If this company was listed with let’s say, reuters, a news portal with insane amount of traffic and categories. It would have cost them about x15 times more and the article would stay in visibility for about 15hours (since their volume is super high). Then, Can GPT crawl them really… it’s impossible. The amount of resources any AI engine would need to check anything besides the ‘‘todays’’ stories on reuters is enormous, due to content quantity.

but, If you are in politics in America, and your budget is somewhere in the tens or hundreds of millions, I am sure you can spare 3-4mil for a proper reuters campaign, and it will be massive.

So, where you are listed is a whole discussion, based on budgets, goals and countries you want to be associated with.

Lastly

I know, it is often an argument of ‘‘But we are the best and everyone knows it’’.

I beg to differ. If you are not there when they search or DD you, digitally, then you are forgotten already, unless you don’t really care for new business or you have billions siting somewhere and working for fun, then we can just grab a champagne served ''à la piscine'' in St.Tropez and enjoy the yachts.
